Real World Medical Experience. Real World Change.
Global Medical Brigades is a mission trip group that will be taking a week-long trip to Honduras in January 2016. Students will help provide healthcare to the remote areas of the country that would normally not have access to it while getting the opportunity to shadow medical professionals.
In Honduras, the average person does not live within a twenty-mile radius of a doctor. Thus, the UT-BG Ball Run serves as the perfect metaphor for what Honduran people live with on a regular basis.
The proceeds of the event will be used to purchase medications that will be used on the trip. Our twenty-five member group is preparing to help over 1,000 Honduran people on our trip in January, and it will take over $7,000 of medications to accomplish this.
Thank you for allowing us to make a difference!
